I am developing a questionnaire for gaming and gambling looking at certain characteristics. Thank you for considering taking part in this study, this research will investigate online gaming and gambling behaviour.
If you choose to take part in the study it will involve you completing a survey, answering a number of questions by selecting your response to the relevant question. It will take you approximately 15 minutes to complete and there is no right or wrong answer.
All your answers will be anonymous however you are required to provide a unique identifier which is a selection of letters and numbers (e.g. "frog16"). You should retain this information as it will be required in the future in case you wish to withdraw from the study.
Any data collected in this research will be treated confidentially as it will be stored in a password protected file that only researchers have access to and kept confidential from third parties.
The confidentiality of information collected will be maintained and only the investigator(s) of the research team can identify your individual responses.
Anonymity of information collected will be provided as we will not collect identifying information from you (e.g., name, address, email address, etc.).
We do not anticipate any harm to you as a result of taking part in this study. Data will be retained for six months and then destroyed furthermore you have the right to withdraw from this research at any point, even after you have completed the questionnaire. If you wish to withdraw, you do not need to give any reason. If you would like any future information please send a request to pamela.heera@ntu.ac.uk.Your unique identifier will be used to withdraw your data from the research.
