Brand Characteristics and Self-Congruence

Thank you for taking the time to take part in my study. I am interested in investigating whether people see some brands as reflecting characteristics and personality traits that they see in themselves and whether this is influenced by factors such as the typical product produced by the brand and self-esteem. The questionnaire will begin with a scale measuring your self-esteem. You will then be shown the names of 12 brands associated with different products. For each brand you will be required to answer questions about how that brand reflects perceptions of yourself and your ideal self as well as answer some questions about the personality of the brand and about what you think of the brand (e.g. whether you like it). Before beginning the questionnaire you will be asked to make a unique identifier code, this code will be used to keep all data collected anonymous. Your participation in this study is completely voluntary, and you do have the right to withdraw at any time. If you wish to withdraw your data after completing the study then please be aware that you have until the 28th February to withdraw your data. To withdraw your data simply email me, quoting your unique identifier code, and your data will be destroyed promptly.
