Critique Wizard Feedback

Hi,

My name is Emi Fielding and I am a PhD research student at the Loughborough Design School, UK. As part of my studies I am developing the Critique Wizard: an online tool aiming to help design students in their projects and enhance their problem solving and critiquing skills.

The Critique Wizard takes you through a set of design process stages and asks you a range of questions, designed for each stage of the process. At the end you can review, edit and print your answers to use them later in your design work. The wizard also has two distinct paths to choose form for either New Product Development or Reverse Engineering.

What is the purpose of this survey?

To gather feedback on the Critique Wizard.

How long will it take?
Up to 15 minutes.

Will my taking part in this study be kept confidential?
All data will be kept confidential and in a secure place. Raw data will be destroyed after ten years and no personal information will be released to third parties.

What will happen to the results of the survey?
Results from the survey will be used to inform design iterations of the Critique Wizard and may be published as part of a doctoral thesis as well as in conference and journal papers, but no individual will be identifiable.

Once I take part, can I change my mind?
Yes! After you have read this information and asked any questions you may have we will ask you to complete an Informed Consent Form, however if at any time, before, during or after the sessions you wish to withdraw from the study please just contact the main investigator. You can withdraw at any time, for any reason and you will not be asked to explain your reasons for withdrawing.

What if I am not happy with how the research was conducted?
