Investigator: Ayana Simmons, PsyS, TLLP, Michigan School of Professional Psychology

 

Purpose:  The purpose of this research is to investigate participants’ interactions and roles within their family of origin as well as perceived personal current functioning. The intent is to provide clinicians with approaches that address family issues and interpersonal skills.

 

Procedures:  Participants will be requested to complete three questionnaires online.

 

Time: The estimated time to complete the three questionnaires is 20 minutes.

 

Risks: This study requires participants to recall life events.  Participants are permitted and encouraged to withdraw from responding at any time the tasks becomes too stressful.

 

Benefits:  A benefit of this study would be for participants to contribute to research that would be helpful with family, couple and individual therapy sessions.

 

Privacy:  Participants are encouraged to complete the questionnaires for this study utilizing a secured internet  domain.  Participants will be allowed to choose a numerical code and are encouraged not to provide any information during the debriefing process that could reveal their identity.  Identifying information will not be collected.

 

Right to Refuse or Withdraw: You may refuse to participate at any time without penalty.
