Participant information sheet

Project title: Predictors of injury in affiliated equestrian event riders

Researcher: Sophie Jordan

Project Supervisor: Dr. Jamie Taylor

I am a Masters student studying Sport and Exercise Psychology at the University of Central Lancashire. Competitors aged 18 and over who currently compete at any level in British Eventing are being invited to take part in a research study that looks at the possible predictors of injury in the event rider.

Taking part in this study is completely voluntary and as a participant you will be asked to fill in four different questionnaires, this should take around 20 minutes. The questionnaires are anonymous as none of them require the inclusion of your name.

You may withdraw from the study at any point until you have submitted the questionnaires. Once submitted, you will not be able to withdraw from the study, as due to anonymity I will not be able to identify your questionnaires.

By filling in the questionnaires and submitting them, you are confirming that you have read and understood the information sheet, understand what is expected of you and that your participation is completely voluntary.
